King Manuel II of Portugal (known as the unfortunate or the patriot) was the last King of Portugal. His reign ended with the revolution on 5th October 1910. These photos show the arrival and departure of the king with his mother, Queen Amelia, at the Cathedral of St. Mary the Crowned on 9th October 1910, four days after the revolution. He left Gibraltar on 16th October and lived the rest of his life in exile in England.
