Cruise Ships

We associate cruise ships with recent times but they have been visiting us for some time as these 1960s photos show. This is what the 1967 Gibraltar Report had to say:

“137 Cruise ships called at Gibraltar during the year. These came mainly from British ports and brought 90,210 excusion visitors to see the tourist attractions of Gibraltar and to take advantage of the virtually duty-free shopping in Gibraltar. This represented a 4.7% increase in excursion visitors over 1966.”
